After standing down from launch on Wednesday May 27, SpaceX and NASA’s second attempt to launch astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley on a mission to ISS (the International Space Station) was successful.
This is the first crewed spaceflight to take off from US soil in nearly a decade.
For the first time, we have a privately developed spacecraft launched humans into Earth’s orbit and astronauts launched into space from US soil since 2011. This is the first-ever crewed mission for SpaceX
NASA and SpaceX will keep their livestream rolling at least until SpaceX’s Crew Dragon capsule, carrying astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley, dock with the International Space Station tomorrow. Docking is scheduled for 10:27 am ET Sunday.
