The Michigan Bureau of Elections, comprising by two Democrats and two Republicans, voted today 3 to 0 with one abstention to certify the results, that President-elect Joe Biden won the state by 154,000 votes over the current President of the US, Mr. Donald J. Trump,
Norman D. Shinkle, one of the two Republican members of the Michigan Bureau of Elections, abstained in the board’s vote to certify the results. On the Other hand Republican member Aaron Van Langevelde voted for certification, as did Democrats Jeannette Bradshaw and Julie Matuzak.
Van Langevelde before he cast his vote certifying the results he said:
“As John Adams once said, ‘We are a government of laws, not men,’” This board needs to adhere to that principle here today and comply with our legal duty to certify this election.”
Certifying the vote in Michigan and Georgia (November 20) , help cement Joe Biden’s victory and create new hurdles for Mr. Trump’s legal attempts to overturn the election results.
